The real credit in this piece goes to the photographer, I just interpreted it.

Nothing feels quite as good as applying big chunks of black ink in rough representation of form (to me at least). It feels loose and easy and artistic because your brush strokes are very telling (especially if you don't try too hard to control them). So there it is, Lou Reed in a big block of black.

Nice work. My only suggestion would be to darken the background a bit because it seems to be on the same plane as Lou's face.

thanks. If you know me you know I went nuts on that thing before I settled on just painting it white. I couldn't find a non-busy safe bg pattern so I went with brush strokes. Good eye
